This Wednesday, April 9, 2008, the Federal Bar Council's Connecticut Committee is sponsoring a dinner/lecture featuring Brian Carlow, Deputy Chief Public Defender and former Co-Chair of the Connecticut Innocence Project.
In 2006, through the use of post-conviction DNA testing, Attorney Carlow secured the release of James Calvin Tillman, a gentleman who served 18 ½ years in prison for crimes he did not commit. Attorney Carlow will share some of his experiences in uncovering wrongful convictions and challenging unfair criminal procedures as well as opportunities for this type of work in the Federal Court. Please join us for this interesting and informative evening.
